Some of them are mine. Most of them came from people like you: a wife who finally said it out loud, a husband who watched from the doorway, a man who knew exactly what she wanted before she did.

Send me your story below. If it’s one I can’t stop thinking about, I’ll shape it in my own voice and feature it on BBC Desires as a reader’s confession, told by Lyric. You stay anonymous. Only your pen name is ever shown, if you want it shown at all.

Before you send
- Adults only. You must be 18 or older, and every person in your story must be an adult (18+). Stories involving minors in any way will be deleted.
- Consent matters. Everyone in the story is a willing adult. Edgy is welcome; non-consent is not.
- Protect real people. No real names, workplaces, towns, social handles or anything that could identify someone. Change the details.
- Your own words. Send only stories you wrote yourself. No copying from other sites.
- We edit. Featured stories are rewritten and polished in Lyric’s voice. We may change names, places and details.
- No guarantees. We read everything but feature only a few. We can’t reply to every submission.
- Length. Anywhere from a few paragraphs to about 3,000 words. Even a short confession can become a full story.
